The development includes 7,500 acres, an event center, recreational and residential homes and chalets, villas, condominiums, 100 lakes, tennis courts and nature trails, in addition to the Clubhouse Bar & Grille, Pro Shop and championship golf course.
Innsbrook Golf Course installed a new Toro irrigation system with HDPE pipe and a central software program four years ago.
Pump station is approximately eight years old.
Many pieces of new equipment delivered in the past month.
Zoysia fairways and tees with Bent grass greens and cool season roughs.
Duties:
The golf course Superintendent is entrusted with the maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course.
Responsible for supervision and maintenance of the golf course, repair of equipment, and related work as required.
Supervise the fertilizing and maintenance of turf Supervise the operation of equipment repair shop Order supplies and materials within the approved budget Keep records of annual maintenance activities Possess thorough knowledge of the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers and soil conditioners, herbicides and pest control methods and materials Possess thorough knowledge of drainage control methods, watering, and irrigation systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic controls Possess the ability to plan, assign, and direct the work of others Possess the ability to prepare clear and concise reports Hire, orient, train all golf course maintenance department employees Current Missouri Pesticide applicators license required (or ability to quickly acquire Missouri license).
Maintain accurate records of all applications Thorough knowledge of agronomy, course maintenance, chemical application, water management, irrigation system, equipment maintenance and upkeep, and ability to achieve outstanding course conditions Work closely with one of the principals of Walters Golf Management Company Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with co-workers, golf professional and golfers Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel Involved in hiring, training, and developing of all grounds crew employees.
Provide training to employees for safe and effective operations of all equipment Looking for a superintendent that participates in the field with his crew Must be able to lift 50# The essential functions of this job description are not exhaustive and may be supplemented Educational Requirements 2- or 4-year turf management degree preferred.
Superintendent with five years' experience in a similar supervisory / leadership role.
